Uninor is Now Telenor

Uninor, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Norway-based Telewings, will rebrand itself as Telenor, the name by which the parent company operates in 12 countries. Telenor entered the Indian market in 2009 and initially operated in a joint venture with real estate investment firm Unitech. However, the latter exited the partnership in 2012. Telenor operates in Uttar Pradesh (east), Uttar Pradesh (west), Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
