Eminent Shehnai exponent Ustad Ali Ahmad Hussain Khan, one of the best-known players of the shehnai after the legendary Bismillah Khan, passed away in Kolkata on Wednesday, following a prolonged illness. He was 77 years old. Doordarshan's Signature Tune which is embedded in our minds was composed by Ustad Ali Ahmed Hussain Khan and Pandit Ravi Shankar in 1974.
