Veteran journalist Inder Malhotra passed away in a Delhi hospital on Saturday. He was 86. One of the most respected journalists of the country, Malhotra had worked with The Statesman and The Times of India, New Delhi.
He was one of the few remaining political observers in India who was born and remained active before India gained independence in 1947. President Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the death of veteran journalist. The Vice President Mohd. Hamid Ansari has also conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved members of the family.
